Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - Benjamin Alire Sáenz 4.5 stars
Superhero - Eli Easton This book was unbelievably frustrating. I don't think there's one character that hasn't annoyed the crap out of me.
Iron Kissed - Patricia Briggs Not as good as the previous two books. Honestly, the mystery side of this one bored me to death, I had to skim a lot through it! At least I'm happy with who Mercy chose, especially since I hate love triangles; I'm happy that plot line is finally over.
Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris I thought I was going to love this so much! After all, whenever I watch interviews with David Sedaris I always laugh my ass off. But nope, this book didn't do it for me at all, sadly. I ended up borrowing my friend's audio book, thinking i'd enjoy it better, but that didn't help much. I did like, however, in the audio book, when it was from a live show of his - those were the funniest parts. Although, I still think I only laughed a handful of times, and I couldn't wait for it to finish.
Chance Assassin: A Story of Love, Luck, and Murder - Nicole Castle 4.5 stars. Awesomely disturbing and fucked up. Review coming soon.
Dirty Cop - Kyle Adams 4.5 stars: First paragraph and it had me laughing so hard!

“When the officer approached the window, he said ‘Papers’ and before he could finish, I shouted, ‘Scissors! I win,’ and drove off.”

This short story was absolutely hilarious, not to mention so hot! It was so short, so not much time to discover the characters, but the MC was so funny - I loved him! You know what, I didn't realize until now - after checking Kyle Adam's profile - that I love everything he wrote that I read so far (this one being my favourite, though). I'll have to read more of his stuff because I absolutely love his sense of humour, his characters and his writing.
The Final Line - Kendall McKenna 3.5 stars
All His Saints - Setissma I don't remember exactly when I first read this fanfic, but it was over 4 years ago, and I lost count of how many times I have reread it. It's still one of my favourite draco/harry fanfics to this date.
East - Domashita Romero, neomeruru Oh wow. Definitely my favourite story by this author so far. It was absolutely amazing.

This is such a short story but these few pages got me so attached to Liev and Chris. You can't not fall for them, you can't not want them to be happy and for them to get out of that shitty town.

Above the love they have for each other, I loved their friendship. They are best friends first and foremost and it just happens that they also love each other so much and they're just meant to be (yes yes I'm a sap, but blame the author; this story made me feel all mushy inside). There is so much tenderness between them, but they're also playful with each other and of course they always want to jump each other's bones. The dialogues were hilarious; one short sentence and it had me cracking up. It's actually something I noticed from reading other stories by this author: the humour doesn't feel forces and it's right up my alley in terms of humour.

Honestly, there's nothing I can say here that would pay tribute to this story enough, so just go read. ASAP.

The Boys and the Bees - Mari Donne

I wanted to love this book, I really really did. I went into it expecting to love it, actually. Maybe that was my mistake, because I ended up feeling disappointed. But how could I not expect to love it when it had all the ingredients I usually love? when almost all my GR friends who have read it rated it 4 and stars? Even friends who are hard to please, who do not usually like fluffy/mushy books, fell in love with it. So of course I thought it was the perfect book for me because I do like those kind of books (with moderation, of course). But I finished this book thinkin "Well, that's that.", and moved on to another book. It wasn't bad at all, but I also didn't feel anything towards the book. Or, what I did feel towards it was at the opposite from what I wanted to feel. I felt bored, I felt disappointed because my expectations weren't met and I felt confusion, trying to find what clicked with everyone else but didn't with me. I can't bring myself to rate this under three stars, though, because while I didn't love it I also didn't dislike it. It was still adorable and I fell in love with Jamie Novotny, and him alone made this book worth reading in the end.

Mourning Heaven - Amy Lane ... when I feel like I want my heart to be ripped apart
Falling in Love with Crazy - Dane Waters At the time of writing this review, only 48 people have read this book. What a shame! This book was honestly a breath of fresh air. The characters were especially refreshing, not to mention endearing, funny, witty. The dialogues were sharp and I burst out laughing more than once. You also got to know both characters through the dialogues, even though it was only written from Ryuu's point of view. The ending was, I must admit, a little bit Hollywood-esc, but you know what? it still touched me and got me all choked up. I was honestly this close to crying. I'm glad it didn't end with a HAE after because it would've ruined the book in my opinion, but the careful HFN was perfect. Now all you people who haven't read this, go and do it!!
Inferno - Scarlet Blackwell This book has many many flaws, sometimes I thought I'd have to stop because of how annoyed I was, it took me a while to warm up to the love interest, but in the end, I ended up really liking this book overall.

I said I'd have to rant about something in a status, so I'm going to start with that. My biggest pet peeve in M/M books is when an MC is always aroused. You know what I mean "he felt he dick throb", "his dick twitched", "he felt himself getting hard", and this happened in this book EVERY OTHER SCENE. I swear to God if the story hadn't kept me reading, I would've stopped just because of that. Some books are bad with this pet peeve of mine, but this book was the worst I have ever read in that regard. EVERYWHERE he went, everything he looked at Zack "felt his dick throb". Even crimes scenes for God's sake! Now, I'm not a guy, so maybe this thing really happens all the time, but I don't want to fucking read about it every other paragraph! Arghhh! And worst of was when Zack got aroused by imagining the love interest having sex with THE GUY THAT HAD JUST BEEN MURDERED. WTF?!

Actually that's another thing that bothered me, how every single person in this book got him horny. It's not something that I especially like to read about, the MC being attracted to 482948 guys even during the time he hooks up with the love interest. It just really annoys me, and since Zack obviously can't control his dick, it happened all the freaking time.

Anyways, I'm done with the rant. So like I said, the story really kept me reading. I loved the mystery part a lot! I'm the kind of person who can get really bored about the mystery part of a book (even though it's one of my favourite genre within the m/m genre), but this one held my interest from the start till they found the murderer.

As for the characters, they weren't the best I've ever read, but I did enjoy them. Dante took a bit of warming up to (I was disgusted with the way he acted at first), but in the end we won me over. Zack was okay, other than his constant twitching cock, and his parter, Claire, was a really nice side character I really liked.

All in all, this book was a bit unrealistic (I mean, at some point Zack and Dante have sex in a room next to a crime scene filled with cops!!!)), had way too much sex in it, annoyed the crap out of my, but I surprisingly ended up enjoying it a lot.
Lord of the White Hell - Ginn Hale DNF - 43%
I couldn't get into it, I didn't connect with any of the characters and I found myself bored while reading, so I prefer stopping right now.

Down These Strange Streets - Simon R. Green, Diana Gabaldon, S.M. Stirling, Laurie R. King, Carrie Vaughn, Gardner R. Dozois, Joe R. Lansdale, Glen Cook, Charlaine Harris, John Maddox Roberts, Melinda M. Snodgrass, Lisa Tuttle, Steven Saylor, Bradley Denton, Conn Iggulden, M.L.N. Hanover, George R.R I had to borrow this book because I was only interest in the story by Patricia Briggs, featuring Warren and Kyle from the Mercy Thompson series. So this review is only about that story.

I loved it, but at the same time I was left wanting more. Much More. The mystery part was really interesting and I liked, but I wish he would've gotten more of Warren and Kyle. We don't really learn anything more about their relationship, it was like I was reading the book from an outside character and not from Warren. But I'm still giving this four stars because I liked the mystery and the stolen moments between Warren and Kyle were so sweet. I hope some day Briggs decide to write a book about these two, like many m/f authors are doing.
